Travelling up the Mekong river in Laos, towards the border with Thailand, an order of monks joined the boat. Amongst them was this vivacious young guy who had possibly too much sass for a monk. He strutted up and down the boat like he was on RuPaul’s Drag Race serving up full Buddhist Monk realness. Sadly the abbot took a dim view of this spectacle, clipped him around the ear and dragged him off to sit at the back of the boat. He looked so sad and dejected.
